Strategy development


We support clients at corporate and business unit level in making strategic choices about where to compete and how to secure a sustainable advantage.

On some assignments we develop an entirely new strategy for a business unit, or refine corporate strategy.

On others, we address a discrete strategic question, for example whether and how to expand into a new market, or how to compete more effectively against a particular rival.

Market and competitor insights


One of our core capabilities is the delivery of insights into our clients’ markets and competitors through assimilating and analysing data and conducting interviews with industry participants.

Sometimes, we provide these insights on a stand-alone basis to help our clients to understand their competitors and the drivers of their performance, or the attractiveness of a market.

Often, these external insights form the basis for a subsequent strategy development process, where we marry them with an objective assessment of our client's business to provide advice on how our client should modify its strategy to maximise profitable growth.

Acquisition support


We support clients in the execution of acquisition strategy, from candidate identification and evaluation, to commercial due diligence and post-acquisition planning.

Through a joint venture with Stamford Partners, an investment banking firm specialising in the European food and drink industry, we operate Stamford Partners Strategy Consultants. While the investment banking arm provides financial advice on mergers, acquisitions, divestments and capital raisings, as well as counsel on corporate development, we provide complementary strategy consulting services to food and drink industry clients.
